The following article is targeted at Shopify merchants that are using the PieEye app to run their cookie banner and that also use or want to use Elevar Tagging and Tracking Management
Elevar will make sure that all the tags of your Google Tag Manager container have been properly configured to fire only after the visitors of your store have consented and given the right permissions.
The first step is to activate the Google Consent Mode feature on the PieEye platform. To enable this functionality, please follow the steps outlined below:
Log in Or Signup to PieEye web app account.
Add New Domain- PieEye >Domain
If your domain is not already added, please add it as a new domain.
Navigate to PieEye > Dialog
In the Dialog Section visit the 3rd section which is Configure Rule
Section you will find the option Google Consent Mode section, Enable toggle the button labeled Support GCM.
Add PieEye Script to Website Header:
Add Script in website if not added and It should be in the Head portion.

When utilizing Consent Mode with PieEye, each time a website user provides their consent preferences, PieEye will transmit a signal to GTM, which will then adjust the tag's behavior by the user's choice. This adjustment ensures that the website refrains from collecting or using personally identifiable information and instead opts for aggregated data for its services.
