Scan Cookies as a new user

PieEye Cookie Consent is an app that enables users to manage their cookie data on their owned domains and design Cookie Consent popups according to different cookie compliance laws. This manual will provide a step-by-step guide on using PieEye Cookie Consent to manage cookies and generate injectable banners into your domains.

Using Cookie Compliance for Scanning Cookie and Generating Cookie Consent Banner on pii.ai:

1. Go to https://pii.ai and enter the website URL to be scanned, such as apple.com, twitter.com, or in this case pii.ai and click on Check My Website

1. Add your email address where you expect the cookie scan reports to be delivered. The reports should be sent to your email within the next 2-5 minutes.

1. Once you receive the report, you can see all the cookie details from the site you entered.

• Category: What category the cookie belongs to
• Cookie name: Name of the cookie
• Provider: Which site is providing the cookie
• Expiry: After how long the cookie is expired
• First found URL: Which url the cookie was first found
• Cookie purpose description: The complete description of the cookie

1. Click on Sign Up to sign up for a new account

1. Sign up with your details and click finish sign up
2. You will receive a code in your email, add that code to verify your email address
3. On clicking the Finish Sign Up button. Success! Your account is being created, please wait while you are redirected…. message gets displayed.

1. The user is redirected to the Sign In page. Enter your Email, and password and click on the Sign In button

Connect your site

1. Add code to analyze your site - Copy this code to inject into the website header.
2. Connect & Scan - Clicking on this checks whether the script has been injected into the website correctly or not
3. Skip for now - Clicking on this means skipping to check whether the script has been injected into the website correctly or not. The user will be redirected to the domain screen with the status Not Connected

If the script is not injected into the website header, the message displays Oops…Failed to add your site and will be redirected to Script Connect popup with 3 options ****

• CONNECT AND SCAN AGAIN - Clicking on this will check whether the script has been injected into the website correctly or not.
• MANUALLY APPROVE - Clicking on this means manually approving that the script is injected. The user will be redirected to the domain screen with the status Connected
• Skip scan - Clicking on this means skipping to check whether the script has been injected into the website correctly or not. The user will be redirected to the domain screen with the status Not Connected

1. Once the process is completed, you will be taken to the Dialog screen.

Scan Cookies as an existing user

1. You can directly go to app.pii.ai and Sign In

1. You will be asked to choose the default application. Select Cookie Compliance and click on Save my Preferences

1. Select Domains from the left navigation bar

1. Click on Add New Domain to add the domain you want to scan
